Denis Gagnon Runway for Fashion Week

What stands out in the blur of two dozen shows at Montreal Fashion Week, fall 2010 edition? Denis Gagnon’s undulating swaths of fringe, fastened by crochet and embellished with zip trim, closing the proceedings in two shows Thursday night to the only standing ovations of the week. Here are a few photos Angela Captured at this runway festival.

Menswear Fashion Photoshoot

Earlier this Month we photographed a fashion shoot for www.bertigo.com , trendy menswear . Check out their site, they all have such an immense passion for what they do.  We were able to put together their 52 page catalogue in less than 1 week with the help of our amazing crew here at the studio. The props were from www.joesprophouse.com , they have awesome furniture, props and accessories. Whether it’s for a fashion shoot or event they have it all.

Casuals in the rain, a romantic feel.

Here are a few photos from Batsheva’s and Shaya’s Casual session. I was a little worried that the relentless rain the day of the session would throw a big kink in our plans, but I actually love the challenge that the rain provided! The rain just set a mood for the photoshoot and the streets in Old Montreal were empty for once! It was a challenge I must say I was holding an umbrella in one hand, a camera bag around my shoulders and I was holding my camera with the other hand. I am looking forward to many more photoshoots in the rain.

Billboard Advertisement

I wanted to write about this a few weeks ago but finally I got to it now!

Wendy, our fabulous graphic artist, was out and about when a large billboard caught her eye. Yes – it was a billboard of our work!

I had no idea where the billboards were going to be located, but there are a few scattered across town. I hear the largest one is near Marche Central.  It was  a photoshoot for menswear we did for Bertigo’s Spring/Summer collection. We are now preparing for  their Fall/Winter photoshoot . We’ll be photographing that collection  in the next few weeks.

If you have any ideas to share that would make for a great location that would help us so much!

Here are a few photos that Wendy snapped:

This is where my Staff hangsout on the week-end!

The clothing line can be found on their website:

That’s all for now! I promise I will try to post more frequently to keep you all up-to-date with the happenings at our studio!

Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation

It’s been some time since we did not write something on here,

We have been busy with many projects and I wanted to share this one with you.

Angela photographed 15 breast cancer survivors over a period of two months at our studio. Its a great cause that we’ve  sponsored and Angela really took it to heart working with these incredible ladies.

The final product was a team effort by our graphic artist Charlie Ciliberto and photo retoucher Michelle Marsolais who put together 15 banners  with dimensions of 8 feet by 10 feet.  The banners were  showcased at a fundraiser organized by the Quebec Breast Cancer foundation on the 26th of May at the Windsor.

Over 1,100 were present to celebrate the Foundation’s 15th anniversary. Net proceeds of $133 000 were raised through ticket sales and the silent auction held during the event.

It was an honour to collaborate on this project and it was quite impressive looking at Angela’s images and I am very proud of her work!

Here are a few pictures of the evening!

In association with The Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation we were proud to be part of the Place Montreal Trust’s Montreal Fashion and Design Festival …Montreal M’Inspire .

This exclusive gallery of photographs and testimonials was exposed at the Place Montreal Trust Atrium from Wednesday June17 to Saturday June 20th.

Hello world!

Hello Everyone!

Here is our First post.

This is my first blog post. Ever. This is also the first publicly available piece of writing I’ve ever created. The pressure is on. I wasnt sure what to write as our first post. I felt that a first post needed to have some sort of special significance or insight. There are many things I plan to write about, and hopefully everyone will get a glimpse of what is going on at our studio. The different topics amongst others we will write about is our favorite images, videos, special moments, events and maybe some of our party photos!

I’ve decided to share these ideas as guidance for our entrance to the internet lifestyle.

Cheers!

John.
